Here is what you will need. A cigarette lighter and a pair of needle nose pliers. Carefully scrape the thread and clear coating from around the rod tip. Then quickly heat it up with the lighter and then pull the rod tip off with the pliers. Go to a sporting good store (take the tip with you) and buy another on that has the same size hole where the rod tip goes in. Get a glue stick (the kind that goes in a hot glue gun) and after heating up the new tip push it into the glue stick and get a little glue into the hole. Reheat it back up (just a little bit) to remelt the glue and insert the end of the rod into the rod tip. Be sure to spin the tip around to line it up with the rest of the eyes. With a knife scrape off all of the excess glue and you should be ready to go. Keep an assortment of tips and a glue stick in your tackle bag so if this happens again you can make a repair on the water. Also if you break a small section off of your rod (top 1-3 inches) you might possibly be able to repair it with a slightly larger tip (although this will affect the feel of your rod). Good luck.
