NO! It can mean a number of things. What have you or whoever it is been attending the doctor for? I had a very bad accident and although I seemed unhurt at the time I suffered delayed shock. I passed out the next day and was taken home. When I came to myself I found I couldn't talk. Knew the words I wanted to say but couldn't say them. I was sent for a CT scan to check my brainwaves to see if I had suffered any damage, due to the accident, that hadn't been noticed at the time. Nothing was found but although I recovered my speech I still had problems finding the right word on occassion. A CT scan is simply to check your brain and see if there are any problems, could be to do with loss of balance or any normal function, as with my speech. Cancer is only one of many reasons for a CT scan.

Absolutely not. A CT scan is simply a way of checking the human body for things like cancer.

If a doctor wants to find out if you have an ear infection, she'll check inside your ears, if they think you have a broken leg, they'll x-ray your leg to check inside it and look at the bones. A CT scan is nothing more than a way of checking inside the body for one of many things- it's nothing to be worried about.

Not necessarily.
Doctors will send you for a CT scan to see a 3d image of your insides.
Try not to get too worried about it. Lots of people have CT scans as a precautionary measure.
Good Luck

Absolutely not. Doctors order CT scans to get more information from your body about what's going on inside. Don't worry just yet. A CT scan is no big deal.......you can do it. =)

No, as many people have said, it is used for many other diagnostic purposes. If you have been diagnosed with cancer, which you will normally have a CT to stage the disease, but you would have this explained that this is why you'd have it.
