Literature explores the possibilities of different character types. Each one has great potential for good or evil. Depending on the author's aim and purpose for the lit work, the authentic characterization reflects aspects of human nature. A good author will want to elevate the consciousness of the audience to reveal aspects of their own humanity or inhumanity through the characters and their expressions and experiences.

I guess that if you read more, you'll expand your mind, and with that you'll learn more about other people.
I don't know, but the only way that would be true is if you were reading something called "Becoming aware of the potential that each human being has". lol.

good literature is that which forces us to see life in new lights, makes us feel powerful and able. good lit inspires us as human beings to reach for something higher. truly influential writers are those who's ideas introduce new and radical ideas to the minds of those stuck in the media's stronghold, a good writer is someone who has broken the mold, and wants nothing more than to show others how to break it for themselves as well.
