I was at my local casino on Saturday. After going to a Red Wings game. While there I was playing some craps. At the one table I was at just as it was my turn to throw. I had engaged in a "frendly" confrontation between another player at the table over how that Wings game ended. Later on in my turn throwing the guy in the suit sitting down in the middle ddecided to make a remark about the confrontation or the wings game (I dont really remember what was said) but he said it right through my release. (Much like your buddy sneezing on your downswing playing a round of golf)

I thought it was disrespectful and voiced my displeasure given I 7'ed out on the roll. I called it a night after that but he was trying to get me to play a suckers bet (pushing "all in" on the field bet) when I announced I was leaving. I wanted to complain to someone but didn't know who so I left it at that.

I myself deal poker in Las Vegas and we are told in dealer school and by the poker room manager not to make any comments on how a player plays his/her hand. I'm sure you can talk to the pit boss or floor manager and explain what happened and how you felt. I am a professional dealer and i take that very seriously, i am not a part time card dealer, i am a professional so i try and act professional when I'm at a table because that is the best way to deal a table game. That person who did that to you is not a professional at all. Just know that most dealers will not treat you like that, we make our living on tips, and that means being nice to each and every player.

While the guy didn't really "affect" the outcome of your throw like in golf (I mean, you're rolling dice), it's totally unprofessional. Dealers aren't supposed to make the players feel uncomfortable in any way.

If it ever happens again, go see the pit boss. Even if it didn't affect the outcome of my play I'd be pissed and, if I had an option, probably wouldn't go back to that casino.

I'm sure the boxman was just trying to have a bit banter with you, it sounds like you were over reacting to it. It's all right for you to have a "friendly confrontation" with another customer, but not for the boxman who is encouraged to be sociable. As for throwing a 7 it's all down to the bones.

Next time call for the Pit Boss, it's their job to settle disputes. You have rights, and if you think your being viotated in any way, tell the Pit Boss. He will settle the matter.
