Yes they can. I had a cat that was very agressive toward me while she was was going to have her babies and I asked a vet what I should do and he told me that the breed of cat I had will get agressive while preganant and he told me that my cat should abort her kittens or I would not have my cat because she was hard to get near. So she got them aborted. It does not affect the cat.

How about just getting her spayed, like you should have done in the first place? Same effect, no maintenance. Almost no veterinarian will do an abortion without doing a spay anyway.
Please do the world a favor and when you get another cat, get it spayed at the outset to avoid this problem.

Why not get her spayed instead? Seems stupid to use this as a form of birth control, that's just sad and seems stupid in today's world.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

It is time you had her spayed. That will terminate her pregnancy. Why on earth have you waited this long?
