im not sure but i think its better to feel guilty when doing the right thing than to do the wrong thing and not discipline the child.that way later in life after you've done the right thing, they will respect you(usually)and they will behave better(if you discipline them the right way)just think about back in the day when parents had to use switches.(little tree brances).their kids turned out well didn't they?there goes your answer.

Probably because she guilt trips you, or someone else does. Or maybe you're doing something unethical. If you're spanking then you should stop, but if it's just time outs, they are effective and healthy and you shouldn't feel bad about it.
If you discipline a child right, then they will not search for boundaries, instead they will know how to behave well and grow into well adjusted adults.
Also, reward the good behaviour, and feel good about that.

You should feel guilty. That feeling is normal. It is OK for you to yell, as long as you don't yell obscenities, or talk to the child as if they mean nothing to you. The most important thing is to let them know that you get frustrated sometimes, at some point during that same day, what you couldn't say to them before they got yelled at. The last thing after you explain yourself, is to give the child a great big hug, and tell them that you love them... They will understand!!!!!!!

Maybe you are afraid that she won't like you when you discipline her. In any event get over it and take charge. Your job as a parent is to teach your child self discipline. They won't know things until you teach it.

I think lots of people do for some reason, I feel bad when I yell at mine, b/c I grew up in a horrible situation, and I remember what it feels like, so she is spoiled everytime I get mad, I go up and tell her sorry and hug her, lol :) I have a big soft spot for her!

Don't feel guilty...regret that it was necessary. She'll be better off in the long run.
