What is so special about the "BLUE RAY-DISC"?

One thing for sure, if it is just being used for data storage, it will hold 4 times more than the HD DVD!! Beside that, movies can be longer on this format than the other. I hope this helps.

basically it stores data upto 25 gigs i think, about 5x more than an ordinary DVD, isnt it the one used in ps3?
