I was telling my friend this after I got the courage to, and she really wasn't that suportive AT ALL!!! She was like, well you can't do this to him, but you can't break up with him either, because that would kill him. GRRRRRR NOW WHAT?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just sit him down and explain how you are feeling. If you think that you may have rushed into the relationship, tell him. Tell him that you feel as though things may be better if you two were to remain friends and hopefully he will understand. All you can do is to be honest with him. Hope this helps.

First of all you do not stay in a relationship with a man because of what your G/F thinks. Forget her opinion and do what you know you need to do.
BE HONEST. Tell him that you don't want to hurt him, but that you think in order for the 2 of you to remain friends you need to be ONLY friends. That you don't want to end the relationship, only the g/f b/f part of it. Tell him all the qualities you love about him and all the things that you don't like about the relationship now. in the end you may have to lose him as a friend all together, or he may be come your very best friend that check out all your new b/f's. kind of like a spy from the other side.
Just be honest.

You need to sit down in private and tell him how you feel. You don't want to hurt his feelings or else you won't be friends at all. Say something like, "I'm sorry but I don't think this relationship is working. We're better off as friends."

I had something similar happen to me recently. You need to be completely honest with this guy. Tell him that you love him, but you love him as a friend and not as a boyfriend. Be honest and be careful. Ignore your friend and listen to your heart. Corny, but necessary.

Tell him exactly what you just said, ''I really think we were better off as friends", and tell him that you want to be JUST friends now. Hope it helps!!!

Just be honest. Best advice I ever got was to break up with him like you'd want your brother to broken up with. In other words don't play games.
