In ancient times, the true church has prophets and apostols; I know God loves us, but I don't know where to find this type of church - one that He guides.

Jesus founded only one church, the Catholic church.

He gave the Catholic church power and authority, and he promised to bless it and keep it, until the end of time.

He did this for no other church, and he never even spoke to any of the late day reformers, who are proven false prophets.

You can believe what they claim about God's Catholic Church being compromised, or you can take God at his word.

Which will it be?

Hello, Rich: Well, the early church did have apostles for sure, and into the second century there were prophets, but the Church compromised with the world, adopted tenants of paganism, and, just like Israel before, God quit giving prophets throughout the "dark ages." They shure made a mess of things, killing about one million people in the process

The true church would be a mirror of the original. It is described in Revelation:12:17" "And the dragon [Satan] was wroth with the woman [church], and went to make war with the remnant of her seed [last-day church], which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."

If you learn anything from reading the Bible, it is that God hates sin, and any one who professes to be God's messenger will keep those commandments that Jesus said it would be easier to destroy the earth than change (see Matthew 5:1).

John says it a little stronger:He that saith, I know him [Jesus], and keepeth not his [ten] commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him" (1 John 2:4).

Yes, the Remnant will keep God's law; that is why both John the Baptist and Jesus started their Gospel with the words "repent"; that means be sorry for sin, and quit sinning.

Hopefully God is guiding all churches. Please go and check out your local Orthodox church. They are not all just greek and russian. Check out www.oca.org or www.antiochian.org for a local church. Orthodox is the first christian church after Christ. Roman Catholics split off of Orthodox around 1050a. Feel free to email me.
