Why is it that....?

when people go to jail for rotten or not so rotten crimes they automatically become the biggest bible thumpers in the world and then as soon as they are released they go right back to the same ol' dirty crap of hookin, getting high, stealing, hustling, talking smack, violence, etc..

The same thing happens when people go into detox/rehabs for their drug problems...

I have little faith in Religion (It is man made after all..) Spirituality, God, Higher powers, Heaven, Life after death,
Being posotive despite being in a rotten circumstance, God will help you, etc..

IF there was a higher power up there then why does it allow these people to return to the same old lifestyle they tried to get away from by going to a rehab/detox?

The same goes for people in jail, If God touched them in jail and gave them a semblance of hope why does he make it easy for them to fall back into a bad situation by not providing a bed in the local homeless shelter when they have nothing?

Many of them are faking; some are sincere but are using religion to try to fix themselves; others are sincere and are in something of a vacuum in rehab or jail and the change is real, but only temporary; and others are simply "leaning in" to the program to get through it. Real, lasting change rarely occurs instantly. We all have to go through a process that requires hard work and there will be fluctuations throughout that process. It is entirely possible for someone to be as sincere as they can be, but appear hypocritical. This is why the Bible points out that only God knows what's in a person's heart and judges accordingly.

I wouldn't call most of them, 'the biggest Bible thumpers in the world'! If they really take the time to read and digest what God is saying to them in the Holy Scriptures, they wouldn't be staying 'weak' in the flesh, but would find out that their 'spirits' were growing stronger and stronger, against the 'wiles of the Devil, and their sinful, carnal natures. Most go back to their old ways, like the Bible says, 'the dog returning to it vomit' because, they haven't allowed the Holy Spirit into their hearts, and they aren't really 'born-again'! You must be 'born -again' of the Spirit of Christ to have a life changing experience that is obvious to yourself, family, friends and anyone else that knows you!

\ They too need a 'born -again' infilling of the Holy Spirit to actually be delievered from their 'old natures'. You can't put new wine in old wine skins, Jesus said, . .. it will burst the wine skin! You must first obtain a 'new wine skin' (new born-again of the spirit nature).

I have little faith in religions as well! No religion can ever bring about a life changing experience that being 'born -again' into Christ by the Holy Spirit can!!! Only a sincere, honest, totally repentant heart, reaching out to God for forgiveness, and a new nature that only God can give you, will make a change in anyone that is real, and praise God, forever!

a lot of rehabilitation centers are centered around the belief of a higher power.

This, combined with the fact that most people who go to jail and/or do drugs aren't the brightest people, makes these kind of people easily influenced and more likely to become religious

This is has turned into a pretty much ‘cover it all’ answer in the basic category of life after death, is there a higher power, etc.

First, basic law of physics: ‘energy cannot be created, nor can it be destroyed, but it can be transformed.’

Energy always was and always will be. There is consensus amongst all notables of the physics/scientific world. It is, in fact....fact. With that out of the way, I provide you with a quick analogy:

Raw energy enters a generator, goes through wire and into a light bulb causing the light bulb to light up. The once raw energy is transformed into sophisticated light. Now we break the light bulb. Understand that thought the bulb is broken, the light it once emitted is still light and will travel on as light forever, despite the bulb being broken, and keep in mind, that light cannot be destroyed.

In summation, what was once raw energy is now and forever transformed into the more sophisticated energy form known as 'light'. Now, with these facts out of the way, let's move on.

What makes the human body alive is energy. It, like the light bulb, is nothing without base, raw energy. When we are first born, we essentially have no consciousness, our infant bodies, literally, running on unsophisticated, raw energy. We are unaware of our even existing. Through the temporary occupation of the human body, and the experiences it has in life, both good and bad, at some point, consciousness is attained. I would gauge gaining consciousness by asking when was your earliest memory? That earliest memory is when, I believe, we first become aware of what I would refer to as ‘self’. In other words, the energy that was once raw is, at that early stage, on the road to becoming ‘sophisticated’. It has gained the beginning of consciousness, and will, through its experience in the human body (‘light bulb’), along with life’s trials and tribulations, will become more and more sophisticated.

Let's put it all together now.

The body is the light bulb. Remember the light bulb will break, but the transformed energy (the light), goes on forever as light.

In the very same sense, the body will die, but the transformed energy (the conscience), goes on forever as the consciousness.

The consciousness is what many refer to as the 'soul'. Without a doubt, there is life after death.

Is there a supreme being? Some people cannot see the forest for the trees. Understand, the very fact they can ‘see’ and there is a ‘forest’ which is comprised of tree’s dictates there is a supreme being (the level of sophistication of the human body, alone, is overwhelming to all of science). There was a calculative study once done, I believe, by M.I.T. on the subject of the earth and all on the earth just happening by accident. The long and the short of the studies conclusion were, loosely, as follows. ‘The chances of this earth and all that live in it coming about by chance is the same as finding a full feature Kodak camera on the moon, naturally formed by its surface/environment…’

Just look at how unique this planet we live on, is, then compare it to the balance of planets within our solar system. You’ll find there are none like it. ‘It just…happened’? Not a chance. An unimaginably powerful being put this all together, and they did it from scratch… and I, personally, bow to that being on earth, and my energy will ‘bow’ to him after my body ceases to function (I’m not stupid).

As to where, exactly, your energy (soul), goes after the body ceases to function, and the entire judgment thing; that is a mystery to me, and can only call on theory, and, dare I say, faith. Let’s just say I believe there is a place for positive energy, and a place for negative energy. I believe the powerful being I speak of is of the positive persuasion and is partial to the same. I believe this earth is here not only to grow consciousness, but to also define and separate sophisticated positive energy from negative energy. Of course someone will ask how does one judge what is positive energy and what is negative energy? I say to them, they know exactly what the definition is for both, just as they know what love is and what hate is. I believe the place where positive energy is held, after the body dies is unimaginably beautiful, and the place where negative energy is held, after the body dies, is unimaginably ugly. Why does this powerful being want to be surrounded by ‘like positive’ beings? It wants company. It

Often time people ask why there are so many trials and tribulations in this world? Well, if one thinks a while they will find that without the challenges earthly life brings, they would never attain a consciousness, for it is the challenges of living that make us who we are. A good example is in order to recognize joy; you must have known sadness, and so on.

Everyone has a life custom made to bring out the best and worst. As one grows older that energy will sway either to the ‘left’ or to the ‘right’. At this point, let me play devil’s advocate and ask the fundamental philosophical question: Can an all powerful being create a stone that all powerful being CANNOT lift? The answer is YES, and in relation to us, it’s called free will. Realize people are, basically, free to make their choices. If they weren’t, they might as well be robot slaves, which I doubt this powerful being is wanting.

I believe people should always keep in mind, life on earth is very temporary, and life after the death of the body is, literally, forever.

WE are responsible for following through with our commitment to God........its work , commitment , sacrifice, forgiveness, love, & growth in the Spirit, and most of all "Obedience" this is where a lot of folks mess up....without obedience & faith you cannot please God....... <>< <><
