On the strict understanding that all the chosen sites be given sufficient time to fully evacuate, and completely avoid the so-called 'collateral' casualties ( don't you love all the jolly ways we can euphemise murder ? ). I repeat that this will not work if it costs even one human life to achieve. Then my recipe would be to identify every single munitions, arms, explosives plants, and any even remotely related industrial facilities worldwide. Weapons, weapon systems, and weapons delivery systems......the whole stinking lot.

In other words, I would 'take out' the source of all the toys that kill the boys.

It might not eliminate the problem entirely, or for ever. But maybe, just maybe, it might give us some time to reconsider all the bloody mayhem we are currently still indulging.

After the last century it's time we got killing out of our system once and for all.

The whole Middle East, one city at a time unless they surrender. Iran would give the Brits back there men and stop their little piracy game in Iraqi waters, and quit pursuing nukes or I'd give them a couple. Syria would back off Isreal and surreender the WMDs smuggled there from Iraq. Then I'd address the discrepancy in immigration, guest worker and foreign investment policies of the hypocrit Mexican government. I would explain to China that just because they club dogs to death to use for food and fur we don't treat our animals like that and no more rat poison on grain or no more export of food products or components to the USA. Once they were all in line, then at long last we could take on the real and greatest threat we face, CND. Of course, up there in the Evil Empire Of the North they spell it C-eh N-eh D-eh.
Seriously, the nukes have never really solved anything except in WW2 when we barely defeated the Nazis and Hirohito by deploying a nuke in battle before they could, but it was closer than most people realize. In the long standoff with the Russians fortunatly as many of them wanted to live, as we do. But now we are dealing with nut jobs who may act without a home address and seek martydom as a path to religous exultation. Those you cannot reason with or threaten, you can only hope to be able to make the tactical first strike. And there is a certain advantage in a sense, that unlike chemical or biological agents the bad guys all have, you can't not notice a nuke going off.

Union bosses who are paid enormous amounts of money, start these strikes and sit back and watch the workers do all the hard work.
They remind me of the terrorist leaders who strap on the bombs to young children and tell them they will be with theeir god soon, but never strap one on themselves.

I was going to say San Fransisco or Hollywood and then put a statement out that it was a combined Iranian, Syrian, and North Korean attack, but then I realized that most of the country would have been thankful instead of pissed off.

It's too late for that. Back when the Muslim fanatics were kidnapping people and chopping their heads off, we should have nuked Mecca and Medina, then hit the Dome of the Rock with a cruise missile.
