Crocs seem to be the most popular for going in the water and on land. Not sure if this is an option or not.

Some of Nike's sport shoes are also good if you plan to go in the water.

The best thing to do is to just look around. Sometimes certain brands don't fit people as well, Nike is one of the hardest to fit most people. I would go to the shoe store and talk to the sales people, tell them what you are looking for and they can give you several options, then you can try them on and see what works best for you.

I usually take water shoes along with my sandles or tennis shoes. I don't really like flip flops if I'm going to be doing a lot of walking, but each person is different. If you will be wearing sandles, be sure you make sure they are comfortable before you go, I've had a lot of sandles rub my foot raw when I do a low of walking, it can make the rest of the trip really uncomfortable.

Have a great time!

Go to a sports store or a store like REI and get some TEVA's. they are like sandals, but form fitted and you can wear them on the beach and in the water. They are also good for walking. I wear mine to the beach all of the time and usually go right into the water with them on, especially if the bottom is rocky.
