Well, if you believe in reincarnation, you know that the unpure souls suffer in their next life and the pure and good have a good life. Does anyone else think that its possible that all of the horribly evil souls are reborn in North Africa, so they could either starve to death, contract a multitude of fatal viruses and diseases, or be a victim of genocide? Maybe the reason we cant help them there is because thats just Hell on Earth, and we cant change that. We havent been able to in more than 20 years. Most souls have their memories erased upon rebirth, so the uncertainty of why they were born in such a horrible place, combined with everything that can kill them, is hell in my book. That could also explain the Atheists main argument "Well, if God exists, why are there starving children in Africa?"

Makes sense to me, but what do you think?

Some of you people have got to calm down and stop making all of these assertions. I capitalized God because i meant, well, God, the universal god. All other words for God are just God, no matter what religion, all words for god eventually translate to god. thats it.

And im not trying to rationalize my world or any **** like that, im simply asking you people a question about a belief that has existed since before Jesus. Me simply implying that the unjust souls all go to a centralized place where people suffer THE MOST of any people in the world, shouldnt make you guys attack me, saying that im just trying to make sense of the world, that i cant handle it, that what i said makes no sense because there are other people starving in the world as well, and blah blah blah. North Africa IS the most horrible place on Earth, and if you cant open your mind enough to think that IF reincarnation is real, maybe thats where the unjust go, to suffer, well then fine, dont answer.

Reincarnation is not compatible with the Christian religion, negating your argument. I assume that you are referring to the Christian God, as you capitized the word and did not refer to him as "Yahweh," or "Allah."

Or could it be that those living in N. Africa are just experiencing another type of life for their soul to experience and learn from. Besides they aren't the only ones starving. The United States and countries all over the world have starving people, it basically amounts to do we want to help them or not.

I think that it's a silly assertion. Perhaps you are trying to rationalize your own inaction, trying to make their suffering something that you cannot relate to, something that is not your problem. By saying that the victims of the Lord's Resistance Army and the Janjaweed are simply paying the price for being bad in their past lives you validate the actions of people like Joseph Koney and the Sudanese Government who do not hesitate in brutalizing the "inferior people." Perhaps you feel very content with your economic and social situation.... perhaps it's a reward for your past life that you don't remember... but imagine waking up in the middle of the night to the sound of gunfire and opening your eyes to a scene of total and complete horror, imagine seeing your family slaughtered. Imagine being a six year old kid, imagine being abducted in the middle of the night and forced to fight and kill as a member of the LRA. I don't think this is simply a scene of just retribution for the acts of a past life... the situation in areas of Sudan and Uganda are atrocious, but there is no way that reincarnation is the driving factor... if it were there would be no reason to care about anything... your just-world mentality is illogical... bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people.

By trying to make such horrific situations seem rational, we lose sight of what we are called to do.... we are called to be the change and the difference so badly needed. So I encourage you to take another look at the situation in areas like the Sudan and Acholiland (in Northern Uganda) and don't seek to point the blame at the victims but instead look for ways to possitively impact the people who face percecution and torment. Try to see things from their point of veiw, would you like the world to sit by, letting you become invisible as you lived in fear???

God Bless!

Nope, although it's not at all a dumb thought. What's going on in Africa is just another example of human injustice. See what's going on there? You'd think that maybe our governments would actually do something major to help them, but we'd rather just dump loads of money into wars that never really needed to be started in the first place.
peace man.

wtf?! No, i really super highly doubt that because there are multiple facts wrong with what you said ... starting off with the fact that people created world huger (the catholic church to be exact) was the group of people that went to Africa among other places to spread the word of Christ, and telling the people (that were fine economically at the time) that you are not supposed to use birth control and god wants you to have a ton of babies... leading to way to many people and there for causing the problem.

I'm catholic so i can say that, I'm not putting the church down, i'm really truly sorry if you take that the wrong way.
