Would you return it? Keep it? What ethics would play into your decision? and finally what if it was less than $50, would you feel less tempted to take it?

Yeah I'm just curious :)

I would definitely return it, no matter what amount of money it was (I mean, if it was like a dollar, then maybe not). But if I found it, say, in the middle of a parking lot and I didn't see anyone around that may have dropped it, I'd probably keep it.

I found a $100 dollar bill on the floor in a bar one night. I went to the owner and told him I found some money on the floor. I did not say how much. They made an announcement over the speakers that if anyone was missing any money to come to the bar. A couple people showed up, but none of them had lost a $100 bill. That is why I didn't specify the amount, so it would be less likely for someone to lie and claim it. At the end of the night when noone had claimed the bill, I went home $100 richer.

If I knew who had dropped it I would return it. I was a single mother and I know how important $50 dollars would be to me.
If i just found it on the ground and did not know who's it was I would pocket it right away. If it was less than $50 I would still take the same outlook. The person who dropped it should keep better track of their money.

If it were $50, I would definately give it back. I'm broke, so I know how it feels to be without. I wouldn't want someone else to feel the same way if I am in a situation like that to prevent it. Karma is a b****, ya know?
If it were a dollar though and no one saw me, I'd *probably* keep it. It just depends on how broke I am that day. Being poor, alot of things tempt you.

If I saw the dropee, then I would most definitely return it. If I did not see the dropee and happened across, then I would pocket it. It sounds bad, but what are the chances I ask someone "Did you drop money" and I get an honest answer.

If I saw the person drop the money, I would return it to them no matter what the amount was. I have done so on many occasions.

No matter how much money it was, if I had seen the person drop it, I would give it to them. If there was no one in sight and hadn't been for a while, I would probably keep it.

If you know where the money came from, it is only fair to give it back. It is the right thing to do, and should be the only thing to do. The true measure of a person is thier personal integrity.

If it is a friend I let them sweat it out and when they start freaking out I give it back to them. But if I don't know the person I will give it to them 8 out of 10 times, and I only say that because I am being honest about myself here.
