I don't know about curbing your appetite but it does help you to burn calories. If you drink 4 in a day it will burn 60 cal. I know that is not much but it is when you are not doing anything for it.
Also it is documented from the mental health studies that to much green tea can make you go a bit loopy. It can give you delusions.

Green tea itself does not curb your appetite but the water that the tea is made with, will.
If your looking to curb your appetite naturally try the "Golds Gym diet" It's simple, healthy, inexpensive and it works.
Here's how it goes: 30 minutes before each of your main 3 meals eat 1 apple. That's it!
They have found that the fiber from the apples controls your appetite enough to help you eat less at each meal and will also cause you to feel full longer. The apples also have a high water content so they usually don't cause constipation like some unnatural high fiber products.
You can even go this one further. In the home canning section of your grocery store there is a product that is used to help jel jams and jellies, it's called Sure-Jel. There are also a few other companies that also make this type of product but this is the only one at my grocery store that has a low sugar version. If you like yogurt, purchase a light version and add one teaspoon to the yogurt & mix. This product is made from apple pectin and the fiber added to the yogurt doesn't change the taste but again it will help you feel full longer. Since this is a dried fiber you should drink a glass of water before, during or afterwards so that constipation doesn't set in.
Fiber is great for curbing your appetite and there are easy ways to add it in. If you eat breads or pasta, switch over to 100% whole wheat (not mixed grains or something that says wheat, it must say 100% whole wheat or 100% whole grain).
Just switching over to the whole grain can make a big differance in your hunger.
Raw vegetables are also good and when you have a choice of fruit juice or the whole fruit opt only for the whole fruit.
Although, having allot of fiber is good for you remember to always drink plenty of water and never rely on artificial fiber products that are in jars or cans. Only have fiber that comes straight from the food item. Fake fiber products can give you tons of gas, stomach cramping etc.
I hope this helps a bit.

yes but only if it's hot. it usually curbs my appetite as long as it's hot green tea and the good kind, if it's crappy generic type then it's got a crappy bitter taste and then u wanna eat just to get the taste outta ur mouth, lol. but if u have a cup of good hot green tea i've found that yes it does curb ur appetite if u want a snack or somthing (but if u havent had breakfast dont think that tea will make u un-starved). i luv tea :)

No. Almost the opposite Green tea in general usually quickens the digestive system process.
If my girl friend drinks green tea, she feels hungry a short time afterwards.
If you're looking to drink tea specifically for weight loss, drink pu'er tea. Just don't drink it on an empty stomach. It's been known to make people faint.
