Ahh...this is rough. There's UNFORTUNATELY very little you can do. Here are a few things that will help:
a) drink LOTS of water. Lactic acid (LA) builds up in your muscles when you work them like that. water binds to LA and pulls it out of your system. If your pee isn't clear, you're not drinking enough water.
b) take a nice warm bath. This will relax the tissues and increase blood flow to promote healing. The biggest reason you're in pain is the microtrauma to the muscles
c) topical analgesic. I prefer BioFreeze. You can get this at almost any chiropractor's office. Most of them will give you a sample. If it works, buy a tube of it because working out is going to cause this in the future.
d) have some vitamin C, Calcium CITRATE, Magnesium, and Potassium. C helps heal all soft tissues. Calcium, Magnesium, and potassium are depleted from the muscle when you work out.
Do all these things! Also, see your doctor of chiropractic to make sure that your bones are working right with these exercises. All athletes should be on a maintenance program with their chiropractor!

Ibuprofen will help, yet only when you are resting, or on a day off. Taking the pills to exercise is not a good idea because, although you will feel better at the time of activity, when the pills wear off y,oull be far worse off. Take them after your activity, and try a warm pack to draw blood to the affected area in order for healing to take place. Supplementing with L-glutamine with also help heal your sore legs faster, and gives many othe benefits as well.

If you've a class tonight then I'd suggest a hot bath. Then a banana will help due it's potassium content.
Lactic acid builds up. If you exercise again it'll burn off that acid and the soreness goes away.
You could take a walk to get rid of some of the soreness.

Stretch for a longer period of time before and after. Make sure you drink enough water while exercising and some afterwards.
Soreness in muscles is cause by lactic acid in the muscles. Drink something that has high digestive enzymes that process the lactic acid. Think orange juice or grapefruit juice. Grapefruit has higher contents of it.

I am sorry not to be of much help this time around but if you would like a safe deep penetrating sports rub for next time then I would use Alleviate. You can buy it on-line and it is part of a sports range that is used by world champion athletes.
I use it when I over do it in the garden.

It means you built up some muscle!! YAYA!! Building up muscle is somewhat part of a gym aside from loosing weight. Since you didn't use your legs as vigoursly as you normally do they hurt. I usually take some Advile Tylenol. Ice it or heat it or Icy/hot it. There is something called Badgers Cream meant for hikers backpackers rock climers (ima rock climber) and it soothes msucles its good stuff.

grab some icy hot or other muscle relaxer cream, the soreness will go away once you're used to it though.
