The right hand gland in my throat is swollen quite alot but the left one is fine. When I press the swollen gland it hurts and it also hurts inside on the right when I swallow. My breath smells badly as a result.
Anyone got any diagnosis and / or advice?

It depends which gland it is. If it is high in your throat and you can see it when you look in a mirror with your mouth open then its one of your tonsils. If it is under the edge of the jawbone then the chances are that it is a tooth abcess. If it is under your ear and hurts when your saliva is released then it is the parotid gland, this is where you get mumps.

The bad breath suggests it is an infection and you should see a doctor or dentist as soon as possible. Infections in this area shouldn't be left untreated as they can spread easily and cause other problems; and if left untreated can cause serious illness.

Good luck

Well, I'm sure it's just an uncommon sickness. If you would have had mono, then you would have had really bad vertigo (a spinning/dizzy sensation which includes nausea and vomiting). What I recommend is seeing a doctor about your sickness. I don't know much, but I heard going to a doctor as soon as possible could save you the trouble of getting more infected by not going.

This is not at all uncommon and the most likely cause is chronic infection in one of the dental structures on that side. I suggest you don't visit a doctor first as he may not be able to diagnose this effectively. I would suggest that you visit the dentist first who should be better placed to diagnose and treat the problem.

incidentally the bad breath thing tends to indicate a dental cause.

Sounds like you have something going on. Could be a virus or infection. Let the doctor check it out because there's always a chance of staph or mono. Take care.

It sounds to me one of you’re wisdom teeth might be infected.

or a cut in you’re mouth and got Infected.

Get to you doctor, and he will put you on antibiotics , if its really bad now take ibuprofens as it will stop the swelling and gargle salt with hot water to kill of infection, but you need antibiotics.
