listen if he's shy he likes you and probably a lot he most likely is very nervous and doesn't want to say something that may sound stupid so instead he just doesn't talk too much give it some time and just try to talk to him more about what he likes to do or how things in school are going anything just small talk either way once he get's more comfortable and know's you're not gonna think he sounds stupid he will open up more take the initiative and open up to him maybe even just tell him "you know i really like you" and try to do things more just the two of you outside of just walking to class

First of all, just talk. Talk about everything you want to talk, but try to avoid too personal subjects. And never ask the boy why he's shy, believe me, it's not the right choice. It will make him uncomfortable.

Second thing. Ask him questions about everything. Ask about his favorite music (or band), his sports, hobby's. You know, the usual things. Just give the boy the time to become comfortable.

And third: Just use a bit of touch, Just a bit, a subtle touch on his shoulder, arm. You know, you're the girl. Everything will be alright.

Try talking with him about things he's interested in to start. that might get him to open up a bit and form there you can move on to topics you're both into. He's probably quiet around you because he's nervous - if you can find a way to let him relax that might open up the doors of communication as well....

GOOD LUCK!

First, don't push him to change, accept him for what he is. Next, find out what he likes to do or his interests. Some guys are like that, unsure of themselves at a certain age around the opposite sex. Some girls just go on and on and don't let guys talk either! I used to be the guy you are dating and my girlfriend was like you, she broke up with me cause I didn't talk and show my feelings, kind of dumb!

There's got to be stuff he like and likes to talk about. It seems like you need to ask a lot of questions. If you don't start communicating, the relationship won't last. Do you want to be with a guy who doesn't talk to you about what interests you and about who you are?

I used to be very shy, but after being with my gf for 7 years, I'm the most open person I could ever be, sometimes it gets me in trouble. Bring him out with as many friends as you can, introduce him to all your friends and family, get him to talk, but start out slow. Every once in a while, bring him out shopping with you alone, and sometimes with your female friends. That way you can get him to express his opinions and you know what he's thinking. (especially in a lingerie store)!!!

Ask him why he is shy, and if there is anything you can do too help. I was uncomfortable talking to my girlfriend about almost anything *until she dumped me...* But eventually, when i felt settled, we started talking more and about different things. My advice... give it time, or see if you can help in any way, shape or form.

first get him on a date where he HAS to talk. get him interested in you and what you are doing. i am shy and introverted (means you don't like to go outside in case you didn't know) and i really like to let others talk about themselves and learn about them. in other words, get him to talk about himself and all will become clear soon ;).
