Do you think its easier for celebrites such as robbie williams, stephen fry etc. to talk about their depression because they have money in the bank and good lifestyles etc. than it is for the ordinary joe bloggs who still has to go down the pub tomorrow night?

Well for Robin Williams, his depressive symptoms began to show and stand out to the point that others were noticing. Robin is very manicy with highs and lows. Probably one of the excuses he used to do drugs for so many years. I do think it's easier for wealthy people to share about it than the poor. If their employer finds out about it and they lose their job they still have money.

But for us regular working people, we try to prevent our employers and other employees from finding out about our illnesses because we don't want to be judged or let go because they think we can't handle the job. i know if i was rich I would feel more at ease to say and be who i want to be rather than trying to hide depression from friends, family, and work.

Yes, of course it is easier for them that way. They can get the treatament they need, can afford therapy and medication. However they do have the problem of being in the public eye and going through a very private illness.

The depression is never easy. The easier is when you had a good knowledge of yourself and a high auto esteem
