many people on here have negative views on immigration, but have you people taken a history class?Have you guys learned this country was founded by immigranst and its those same people that help support this country.No matter how much you might want to deny it and be ignorant its a fact!

I try to keep an open mind- I'm on your side, but I also know that we have to put an end to illegal immigration. Who I'm worried about are the illegal immigrants already here, what about them? They came here to work, to make the American Dream come true for them... it's not fair that legally, lots of them would never have a chance to come here. So, I think we should secure the borders, and make sure that the people already here can become legal, and soon- or else all the raids that they're doing will leave thousands of families without a mother, father, or even children. Come on, have a heart people!

If you want to say this country was founded by immigrants guess what so was every other country on earth. This founded by by immigrants is not restricted to just the one country. We are not the same country nor the same people we have moved forwarded. We cannot remain in a time freeze of every decision we must now go back to what they would of done 300 years ago. It's not practical nor is it smart. We did not have terrorists flying into buildings 300 years ago so what do you tell these people too bad we're gone backwards instead of forwarded.If the illegals were helping this country as much you claim we just have to ask ourselves why do we want to have people here who are using fake documents as a way of life, not just once but many times over. Our social security cards are becoming useless from the people who you say make this world go round they steal our ids we encounter years of trouble. We have illegal aliens who have found and used the social security cards of the children of America when they grow up and try to establish credit they want have what the illegal had he will have destroyed their credit history it will be destroyed before they are even old to understand why other people felt the illegal alien's right to a better life superseded the victims right to have what they are entitled to. No matter how you put or say it the illegal aliens have created a crime network of document fraud that is ruining this country values for we are losing our credibility , you are trying to take away the very reason of why we even have any immigaration laws. Maybe you should forget the history classes cause in the real word we have sex offenders crossing into our country to do harm to the young of our country. I'd like you to explain history to the family who lost 5 kids when an illeal alien decided to drink and drive he just happen to crash headon into car load of kids. What do you tell the familes, they should of attended history classes not a very comforting thought, it seems you just cheapen America lives by saying the illegal aliens here are more important than the people already here. History classes do not tell you about the state of affairs today nor do they reflect upon the abnormal people we will indeed encounter or the drunk drivers who will be out on the roads today you cannot deny it.

What about the people that really need political asylum? Illegal immigration is not only harmful to our economy by putting Americans out of work, it is practically slavery. The illegals work for a few dollars an hour (driving the pay scale down for the rest of us), living in constant fear that if they don't make their employer happy, they'll be deported. They are a drain on our tax dollars by using public education and Medicaid (when they are elligible for it. A lot go without health care because they can't risk taking a day off)without paying any taxes. Besides, I feel that anyone who disrespects our immigration laws will disrepect all of our laws. I'm not against legal immigration, but we need to stop rampant illegal immigration.

Legal immigration is good, and they are very welcome here. Yes you are very right, this country was founded on immigration, but it was in fact legal immigration, the people were very happy just to be here, and wanted to call America home. Another fact is that most of those coming from Mexico and Latin America, are doing it illegally, and yes numbers show that to be a fact. Illegal aliens are doing nothing good for the U. S. A., and this to is a fact. The people came to this country years ago, also had something called respect, respect for our country and its laws, and never never, did they march in our streets.

Sigh, once again, for the millionth time, it's NOT immigration. It's ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION that is draining our economy.

Then you are the one who needs to read up on the latest statistics. They DO NOT contribute to our economy. They only thing they contribute is cheap labor at the same time, NOT paying taxes, tieing up our prison system, having babies in the BEST rooms at the hospital to which they aren't entitled and not pay a dime, most of the money they make gets sent back to Mexico. Remind me how they contribute to our economy? All the while I and every other LEGAL American is paying for all their damage.

I have read up on the issue. Even immigrants are complaining about the illegals. I have an Hispanic friend who is LEGAL and he complains about the illegals who come here and don't adapt and pay their due. You all come here and expect a free ride. It's not going to happen.

Dear brunneteesarbetter, on the contrary,many people posting information on this website do support what they say with facts. Of course you there are those who are full of hate or ignorance and dont have much to say; but, many of the people posting here do share facts (along with their opinions).

All of the pro-illegals do not have facts to back up their claims because there are none. All of their arguments are based on compassion. When pro-illegals tell us that "illegal aliens are keeping the economy running", where's the proof? When pro-illegals keep telling us that illegal aliens "do the jobs that Americans won't do," where's the proof? When pro-illegals tell us that "we cannot deport all of the illegals here," where's the proof?

When someone actually comes out with some facts saying otherwise, then maybe I will listen.
