If you mean the sun, trees pull out carbon from the atmosphere. Carbon causes pollution. Pollution causes smog, which blocks sunlight.

It really doesn't affect light, but obviously if you cut down a tree, you remove some shade.

well if someone cut back the tree from out my front then maybe my lounge would see some light for once
