I had a similar problem with dry food a few years ago. Sometimes food is left on the shelf too long by the store you purchased it from and it spoils and the dogs won't eat it or they get sick. Contact the store and Pedigree and let them know about the problem. Save the bag and the UPC label. The company in my case sent me a postage paid container to send a food sample back so they could test it and they sent me a coupon for a fresh bag. I had no further problems after that. Just like human food, pet food is at risk of spoilage if held too long.
Dry food is not involved in the recall because Menu Foods, the company involved only manufacturers wet food. Some of the companies that sell both wet and dry food under their labels subcontract with Menu Foods to make only their wet foods. Iams, Eukanuba and Nutro all use Menu Foods to make their wet food but their dry foods are all manufactured in their own plants and they use completely different suppliers. As a result, the dry food under those labels are not at risk. People are of course afraid, but the reality is you have to look at the source of the tainted food and the specifics of the situation and not so much the brand name on the package. The supply chain is much more complicated than that.

My dog has been eating pedigree dry for years and there si no problem with the food. If this is the first time you have given to your dog, maybe he simply dosnt like it. There has been NO other cause for concern regarding any other dof food.

It's time to stop trusting the well being of your pet to just anyone who makes a pet food. If you are feeding commercially prepared pet foods, you need to listen closely.
Did you know that the FDA does not regulate the pet food industry?
Did you also know that most commercial pet foods are made from less than human quality ingredients.
Did you know that most pet foods bought in the store have been sitting around for as long as 18 months before you buy it?
Did you know that dogs and cats have the genetic potential to live 20 - 25 years but we are robbing those years from their lives with cheap pet foods.
Here are just a few of the procedures that we follow to provide your pet with a safe and nutritious product.
All the products are manufactured in a USDA facility.
All of our ingredients are individually inspected for human quality and carry the APHIS certification (a European standard for human quality ingredients)
Every vendor must supply an 'assurance statement' with each shipment. This statement must provide nutritional quality of ingredient provided AND must state it is free from any mold, bacteria, and so forth.
Dr. Jane has the ingredients tested AGAIN before manufacturing to make sure the quality is as stated AND it meets her standards
The product is tested 3 times during the manufacturing process - to again assure everything is 'as it should be'.
The product is tested again after manufacturing and again when it arrives at the warehouse.
One bag of food is kept at the warehouse - from each batch - to test in case a Customer has a problem or concern with the product. Each 'one bag' from each batch is kept for 1 full year.
The products are shipped directly from HealthyPetNet's warehouse to the Customer - no middleman warehousing (concerns of proper storage and pest control).
Can you say all of that about your current brand of pet food? Probably not. As I stated earlier, this is not a shameless attempt to capitalize on a tragedy, it is vital information that can save pets lives.
Don't let your pet be another statistic. Please give our products a try today. Don't wait! For your protection, we are not sold in stores, you must purchase online for fresh and safe home delivery http://www.HealthyPetFoodBiz.com

Pedigree is full of corn, soy, and other fillers. It is probably bothering her belly, that is why she doesn't want to eat it.
Try her on something like Wellness, Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul, or any of the other upper-end foods.
Even though they are more expensive, you end up feeding her less food because there are no fillers, and save money.
Good luck!

What surprises me is how certain people are claiming that no form of sabotage has taken place with this pet food incident that's going on. You tell me- how did rat poison get into the food if this is so?!! Either someone put it there or else the same companies that manufacture the pets foods also manufacture rat poisoning in the same facilities where it can get mixed up with the pet food!! Common! It's either gross negligence or sabotage! Rat poison does not just walk into tins of pet food by itself!

Pedigree is okay and a fine product. Sometimes it doesn't interest my dog, but if I add some flavoring or sprinkle cheddar cheese on it, he scarfs it up.
