Hi:
Me and my girlfriend who is canadian have decided to get married. I'm not a canadian, just here on a student visa. So my question is, how does it work? How long does it take to get the permanent resident status? Because in the standard immigration procedure, it takes work experience and all that. But since I lack total points or whatever, what should I do?

you must apply and she can sponsor you. i am married to a canadian. start by going to www.cic.gc.ca call 1 800 O Canada too. Good luck.
Do spousal or common law partner app. In Canada appl. You must do a lot of work. it is a pain.

i'm a woman n i'm shy til u get to know me. i'm going to take a seat in college quiet n not confer with every physique n wen ppl confer with me i'm getting demanding...... yet while ik u n have been acquaintances i'm a lot greater outgoing .... I in basic terms get demanding around greater cutting-edge people n i'm getting scared..... adult adult males constantly calls me attractive n attractive cuz i'm shy, short, have been given a advantageous physique, im sweetheart til u piss me off, stuff like that......

As long as your fiance is your wife (not very good grammar) Canada can't kick you out. So who cares? As long as you don't commit murder, you'll basicly have resident status (more or less)
