Well, ole satan has to try and use a counterfiet. The same with Christmas - its about making merry and santa now - not the true meaning of Christmas!
Not that there is anything wrong with eggs and rabbits, but I see how satan uses these to deflect from the truth!

Absolutely nothing, it was part of an ancient Pagan celebration that was focused on fertility. Both the rabbit and the egg have long been symbols of fertility, probably since the dawn of civilization. The church ripped off the Pagan holiday known as Ostara and christianized it in order to convert more Pagans.

Do you really think that the eternal God who created all things, didn't also pick the beginning of spring, and the season of abundant new life, first for the time of Passover, and then for his subsequent resurrection from the dead?
Rabbits and birds are some of the most prolific breeders in nature, and they seem to do it joyously as well.
New life and joy are what Christianity is all about.
Nothing God does is by accident.

Not a thing.
Rabbits and eggs are in celebration of the Goddess Eostre, the pagan fertility goddess.
The "last supper" would have been a Passover celebration.
Passover was changed by the council of Nicea in 323 AD. to marry jewish gnosticism with paganism to unite the Roman empire.

there have been many discussions of this throughout the years.... one shows how the egg is the beginning if life - as with our life int he Ressurected Christ. another is how the egg - once the egg is out is like the risen Christ out of the tomb. another is on the beginning of a new life. the rabbit....spring adn new life in Christ. also a little of the go forth and multiply.
