She dumped me the other day, but she says that she will still go with me to prom and she really looks forward to it. I still love her, but I know I have to get over it. Im worried that if we go together, it will be awkward and painfu, but I want to go with her too

That is a hard question? I don't know how much time you have until prom, but if it's more than a week or 2 away, I say, tell her no and find yourself another date, that you can have fun with and not have the stress of being with someone who just dumped you! That would be very awkward, and uncomfortable. Prom is something you should be able to look back on as a happy time, not as a looooog awkward night!

If she has broken up with you then it should be over. I made the mistake of going somewhere with a girl after we broke up because I was being nice and it was a terrible mistake. One keeps hoping you will get back together and the other just wants to get away. All it can do is cause problems in the future so just end it know and find someone else to go to the prom with.

I would say no. You dont really wanna go to prom with some one you love but doesnt love you bak (anymore) you dont want your prom to be akward or painful. Tell her she can find some one else to go with because you want to have a good time and not think about the pain she has caused you. You want your prom to be fun and memorable not gloomy and unforgettable in a bad way. If she has the guts and heart to dump you then she should have the guts to go by herself or find a new date.

dont GO!! thats a no.. it like trying to catch a fish that doesnt live in that pond ya know.. its pointless.. the only reason why she wants to go with you is proly cause she doesnt want to look stupid without a date.. since prom is close right.. so say no.. and go solo.. and hopefully you find somebody else but hey if not.. im sure you'll find someone at the prom.. and prom is known for finding someone and going afterwards to have sex.. if thats your thing you'll be fine.. but no i know you love her but you said it yourself .. you have to get over it.. and that takes time.. starting now.. so ask that other girl you always had a crush on.. goodluck

No way man. Awkward and painful will be the predominant feelings throughout the night. Get over her quickly and focus on the next date.
The purpose is to have a good time. Leave the drama where it belongs; in the past.

Taking a girl to the prom is just like a "date". If she doesnt want to "date" you anymore, you dont need to take her to the prom. To me it sounds like she wants her cake and eat it too. Take some other girl to the prom so she knows what she missed out on.

If you want to go with her and she wants to go then what's to stop you? Go and have fun, put whatever stuff you were going through on the shelf for that night,or if you don't think
you'll still have fun with her ask someone else, but if you'll be
thinking about your ex all evening you might as well take her!!

lol thats humorous! yet when its on your chum, i dont imagine you should dump her, only connect to another warm unmarried chick at prom and leave the fat chick there. tell her your gonna search for advice from consisting of your chum for slightly, and go fantastic some warm chick i dont imagine it is going to damage your possibilities with someone in case you walk in with a fat chick. in case you warm, then you really'll nonetheless be warm ;) lol

dont go with her u need time to heal and time is a friendand a healer but it also sorrowful.but once u get out the dresspion station u will be stonger than ever each time u get stonger when u break up with someone trust me because my first love when i broke up it hurted me bad really bad. but i got over it .and know iam stonger than ever.

i think you two need to talk this out a little bit...if prom is very close then just ask her doesn't she feel as if this may be a little awkward...if its not close i would maybe not go with her but talk to her first
