Try the ones that give you a gradual tan, along with a natural tan, or one helped along by a tanning bed. If you are super white, be careful. Bronzers can give you an orange tone, but a lot of the companies have worked on making it better. I think Jergens makes one that will help along the look of a natural tan. I would suggest something like that, and some outdoor tanning, or sunbed tanning. If you do go to a tanning salon ask them for a sample size lotion with a light bronzer. Be sure to wipe off your hands after applying anything like this. Otherwise, they will be orange. Avoid showering for a while after applying bronzers, if possible, give them time to soak in.

Also, think about using make-up to give your skin some extra color. You can get bronzing powder that will help out. I use it the same as I would use blush. It works wonders, but don't go crazy with it.

A mist tan will work the fastest, but won't be the least expensive. There are lotion tans--like Bain de Soleil is usually really good. There are also cheaper versions, like from Banana Boat, L'Oreal, Coppertone, and Neutrogena. To get it to best stay and stick on your skin, shower and exfoliate your skin. Get out and dry COMPLETELY off, then apply the lotion, going very very light or avoiding completely elbows, ankles, and knees. Wash your hands when you are through. Let the lotion soak in for about 10 minutes before you put on clothes. There are also good ones for you face that won't cause pimples--just make sure it specifies "face" on there. Jergens has a gradual tan lotion too, for the face and body to keep up your tan (and it smells good too). When you go gradually you won't look so yellow or orange. Also, stay away from tanning salons--those do more damage to your skin than the actual sun!

The best product would be the sun. Lay out in it but not so long you get burned. Everyone I see that has fake tans look yellowish.
