I wouldn't give a cat peanut butter. I don't know if it's harmful. I'm just careful. Also, do not, under any circumstances, give it chocolate. If you do, you'll be digging a hole in your back yard for her burial. To be safe, take her to a vet. It's not normal for blood to come out of a bowel movement.

The presence of bright red blood in kitty's stool (hematochezia) may be a symptom of either a minor problem, or a potentially more serious problem in the cat. One occurrence of bloody stool (hematochezia) may be a minor and transient event. Repeated or persistent hematochezia is more serious and should not be ignored.
Some common causes of bloody stool are:
1) Dietary intolerance/allergy/indiscretion - your kitty ate something that he should have or that did not agree with his tummy and intestines. If this is the cause, then the probelm will resolve by itself in a few days. Watch or look at his next stool and see if it still has blood. If so, there may be another cause.
2) Infectious agents, such as bacteria, protozoa, viruses, and intestinal parasites (worms). Have you had your cat de-wormed? If this is the cause, then deworming the cat will fix the problem.
If your cat consistently passes bloody stools, then the problem is ore serious and you need to take her to the vet for a proper diagnosis and treatment.

Probably not, it is probably because the kitten is full of worms. All kittens are born with worms and sometimes it takes several wormings to get rid of the worms. Ask you vet if they could get you some wormer it sounds like it is time to start a wormer. Of course it could be something more serious but I am pretty confident that it is worms.

Yes that could be why if the peanut butter was chunky. I suggest you take your cat to a vet. It also could be worms.

Blood in the stools or urine is not good. My cat had bloody urine, took her to the vet right away, she had urinary tract infections and needed some medication to clear it up, now she's fine. Don't give your cat any thing other then cat-food. People food can cause a lot of illnesses and large vet costs, believe me I know. no more human food cats are carnivores (meat eaters).

Maybe something in the peanut butter had something bad in it or was bad for your kitten. But, to be safe, I think that you should take your kitten to the vet.

Definitely take Kitty to the vet--though the others are probably right and it is just worms, you might ask your vet to check for parasites when he does a fecal on your cat as well, just to be on the safe side.
