A British Bulldog, English Bulldog and a Bulldog are all the same dog. Some people refer to them by the different names usually depending on where they live. The best answer I can give you is to see if you can find a Bulldog club near you. They should be able to give you names of reputable breeders.

Hi, I think that the British Bulldog is the one just known as a Bulldog ... anyway, there is a photo on the following webpage that you can check.
http://www.champdogs.co.uk/guided/all_bulldog.html
There are two breeders of Bulldogs (on the breeders page) that are located in Norfolk.

If you're looking for a puppy then you could also try searching the Kennel Club's Puppy Sales Register:
http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/item/436

Other sources of puppies & possibly dogs are:
http://www.pets4homes.co.uk/pets4homes/home.nsf/PV?SearchView&Query=(FIELD%20TypeTX=Dogs)%20%20AND%20(FIELD%20BreedTX=Bulldog)%20&start=1&count=10&SearchOrder=3&ExactMatch=True&SearchWV=FALSE&SearchFuzzy=FALSE&SearchMax=250
http://www.epupz.co.uk/search/puppies_for_sale.asp?area=all&st=1&breed=Bulldog+%28English%29

Though some of these may not be registered with the Kennel Club - you'll be able to search for any puppies/dogs near you. Please note that ePupz refers to the British Bulldog as an English Bulldog ... I assume that you the English Bulldog you don;t want is the English Bull Terrier ... ?

pinklhas if the add is in the Dixon centre it wont be a puppy farm dog it will be a breeder or a privet home breed dog i know the people who run that pet shop and have bought several home reared hamsters from them over the years and puppy farming is defiantly something they would not agree with its a small family pet shop you could try putting bulldog east Angela in the search engine and see what you come up with thats how i found a cat breeder good luck

epupz is a good place to look.
There is no such breed as a British Bulldog, it is just Bulldog.

There's *NO SUCH THING* as "british *OR* "english" !!!
It's just plain BULLDOG!!!!

Go READ the BREED STANDARD!!!

Contact the KC &/or your LOCAL kennel club for info on REPUTABLE breeders!
