I took a shower, towel dryed my hair a bit then braided it in one braid. Now, how long should i keep it in this braid so my hair will have some wave to it. 2 hours? overnight? 10 minutes i dunno.

Until it dries. Stick your finger into the center of the braid (where it is thickest). When it no longer feels damp take your hair out of the braid. The length of time really depends upon your hair. If I braided my hair wet and waited for it to dry, it would take about 24 hours -- my hair is very thick and heavy. If you want to speed up the process, use a hair dryer on the braid.

Also, if you want to avoid that straight part at the bottom of the braid (where you put the rubber band below the braided part), take the left over hair and use the rubber band to twist it up a bit or pull it half-way through the rubber band to give it a loop at the end. Otherwise you will get that 3 or 4 inches of straight "straw" looking section of your hair at the ends. Good luck!

well overnight in little braids all over your head will give and create body in your hair.

regular braids overnight will give it wave, but if you just let it dry it will go away. you have to let your dry hair stay in that position. so probably like all day or overnight [depending on when you take showers. so as long as you can]

Leave it overnight and into the next day as it really does take a while to dry, spray lightly with hair spray when wet for a more lasting style

Overnight and place some styling gel over the braids

I have thicker hair but it holds a curl and wave for hours, I leave it 4-5 hours. If your hair is thinner or doesn't hold well I'd say overnight.

I have REALLy long hair so I know this. It works overnight the best, mousse your hair or spray with something that will keep it from getting frizzy and damaging. When you take it out it will be wavy, rubberband it real tight though.

Overnight is best, but it may not hurt to put a hairdryer to it for a few minutes.

And remember to put hairspray or gel in your hair before you braid it.

overnight that way u know it will be dry. If u took it out b4 then it would be messed up in he morning. WHn u wake up, run ur fingers through it to loosen it up, but dont brush or comb it.
