Hi I am interested in getting a sound sytem which includes an amp, subs, and speakers . I would liek subs that hit hard and are heard from the outside of the car. I mostly listen to techno and accasionly rap if that helps. I plan to spend around 350 on the subs and amp and around 200 on the speakers. Can you recomned some products. Thanks

Alpine offers 2 (I think) complete sound systems. They include CD player, speakers, sub, and sub amp. Very good deal. Also if you want to buy your products individually, Lightning Audio is very good for the money. They are manufactured buy RockfordFosgate (yes, really) and can be had for very few at your local Wal-Mart.

Good subs for a affordable price are JL Audio W12 They have a nice Smooth sound. And mix them with a 2000 watt Kenwood amp and some JL audio speakers and your all set.

10" Subs preferably alpine type R's. 2000-4000 watts of amp power. And a nice head unit.

First of all - being able to hear your music on the outside of the car is a bad thing. It makes you look immature, attracts unwanted attention, and increases the chances of your car being broken in to or stolen.
Anyway, with a budget of $750 here's what I would do.
4 guage amp kit - $40

Design and build a subwoofer box yourself $40
That leaves you at around $700. But if you want to upgrade anything, I would start by getting a more powerful subwoofer amp.
