Demons can only posess those not filled with the Holy Spirit, who invite demons into their lives by practiciting behaviors or philosophies contrary to God's Word.
As a result, all Atheists could be demonically posessed.
However, only a third of fallen angels are demons, and none of them can be in different places at the same time. So it would be impossible for all Atheists to be posessed.
What has happened to all Atheists, is that they've been influenced either directly or indirectly by the efforts of demons through the media, other people, scientific tradition, etc.
Also, throughout our lifetime, the Lord sends us opportunities to grow closer to Him. We either ignore these opportunities, categorically deny God, or we humble ourselves and allow the Lord into our lives.
Those who continue to blatantly deny the existence of God, are eventually left with their false beliefs, and the Lord removes His protection and His attempts to guide them in the right direction. It's tough love...just as many parents do with children who are dangerously rebellious.
When the Lord does this...many will begin to believe their delusions or arguments which convince them there is no God. This is why many Atheists and followers of false religions, are sincerely passionate in their belief, that God does not exist. Many are sincerely blind to truth.
It's important to stress, Atheists were not always convinced that God did not exist. Anyone who claims differently is not being honest. There was some time in all their lives, when they questioned whether or not God existed, or may have even been a Christian, or studied scripture.
2 Thessalonians 2:6-12 says....
Regarding every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing(those who deny God). They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

It is my belief that demons do exist inside of peoples bodies and the only way they can get in there is if there is hatred or sin in the soul that creates a black hole. I do not believe that all atheists are possessed because there religion is trying to Say that there really isn't a god and people shouldn't think about gods. They are just people that's parents believed in certain beliefs that led to theirs. They are just people that dint think logically and responsibly and always want to be right.

The Bible says they SAY in their hearts there is no God.
If they had any proof that there is no God, would theists rule the world? No. They are simply talk.
As far as being possessed by a demon, I have to disagree because the devils believe in one God as James said and tremble.
Atheists are all talk and nothing more.
No one takes them seriously and we should because they need our prayers.

Atheists don't believe in God because they cannot see Him! We believe in God, because we can see all the beautiful things God has created! We believe in God without being able to see God. God is like the wind, you cannot see that neither, but you know it is there!

Hmmm interesting. They used to say that people like me (Tourette's) were possessed by a demon too. And so were epilectics, diabetics, autistic kids, etc. Must be a lot of demons running around here...!

A notion which is as foolish as believing in god in the first place. Of course, if you could actually produce evidence of the existence of god, you would reap fame and fortune -- you would be the first to do so. Ever.
