There is this girl, I can't say i like her but I want to get-to-know her... From previous experiences i have come to the conclusion that it is a waste of time to try and get to know them before asking them to hang out. I can usually find something to talk about with anyone regardless of how often we talk so going out with someone like that doesn't bother me. I also never see her during school and really have never had a chance to get to know her. So i have come up with the plan to just walk up and say "hey, I have wanted to talk to you for a while now but I never see you around. There is something unique about you but i dont know what it is yet and i want to find out. Do you want to go out sometime?" or whatever comes to my mind at the time. I usually just wing it and dont have a plan of what to say. I dont want to wierd her out by doing this though because we have only talked twice and say hi in the halls every once in awhile. I dont know if thats too straight forward... opinions

It's not weird becuz it's not like if you ask a girl out u and her are automatically bf and gf. During the time u go out you're still in the getting to know eachother stage. But don't try to rush into anything try to be friends with her and date her that way it won't seem so weird. It's always good if u can be friends with the person your dating becuz it's a good foundation for a relationship or for a future relationship.

I dont like being straight forward, because if thins go wrong, it can be akward after. If you come up with a scheme of some sort, you can send signals, or maybe something indirect, and might not totally ruin things, or hurt your feelings

let me tell you this: if a guy i barely knew asked me out, i would flat out refuse. i know that you don't really want to hear that, but its the truth. do you have any friends that know her? if so, have them invite her to hang out and have them say that some of thair friends are going to be there. that way, you can get to know her better, and she'll end up feeling more comfortable around you.

Im not a lady... but if you want to ask someone out just do it with confidence and dont worry about what she thinks of you and everything will be OK. She may even admire your boldness.

It's not weird at all. And it's certainly better than talking to her over and over leaving her to wonder if you like her or not.

I'd be flattered unless you are an ugly dork. Your plan sounds perfect to me.
