on excel, how can i remain the answer after the calculation? (after i deleted the given number)

for an example, cell A1 and cell B1 are 2 cells i put variables, and i type 5 in A1, and 10 for B1, function is C1=A1+B1, so the result C1 will be 15, but after that , if i deleted the given variable from A1 and B1 (5 and 10), is there any possible way to let C1 still maintain 15?

thanks

No, because C1 will keep trying to add together A1 and B1, and if you've deleted them it will of course be zero.

But if you type the number 15 by itself into C1, then it won't be a function, and therefore won't go looking for any other cell and will stay at whatever number you typed in it.

no, other than just typing 15 into a different box if you cant remember what it said. Once you change A1 or B1 the program is set to change C1... so when A1 and B1 are gone..so is C1.

Not without manually retyping the answer into the cell as a value instead of a formula. Excel always recalculates values. You can however hide columns or rows so you can't see A1 rather than deleting it. Or you can put your variables on a seperate sheet.

You can copy the cell and paste it back on itself as Value.
