It's hard to heal your back if you don't know what is wrong with it. Take it easy, take some Tylenol and call your doctor. You may have a simple pulled muscle, but you could have done something more serous too. I hate trampolines. My mother went to high school with a girl who broke her neck on one. If you decide to play on it again, please be more careful. Best wishes.

Don't take Tylenol, take Advil or any generic ibuprofen (take 3-4 of them). It's an anti-inflammatory and most likely your back is inflammed from the injury. Sometimes a heating pad helps, sometimes an ice pack helps - try both to find what's best for you. I have a massage/heating pad that I love!
I don't know when you hurt it but if you're still having significant pain 48 hrs after the accident, go to a medical doctor. Do not go to a chiropractor for this type of injury. You'll probably need decent x-rays to find the damage and then you may need a prescription to help till your healed.
I suggest you ask for Day-Pro, it's not a pain killer but in my experience the pain keeps you from doing things that will make the injury worse. Day-Pro is a strong anti-inflammatory drug that has helped me on many occasions. It will help cure the source of the pain rather than mask the pain and that's the best thing to do.
To prevent further injury you need to strengthen your core muscles. Since I started doing exercises with the resistance ball I've had hardly any back problems at all. You wouldn't want to do to much while you're having pain but even just sitting on the ball forces you to use your core muscles to balance and helps strenthen them.

The last thing you want to do if you really hurt your back is take a hot bath, at least until you know what's wrong with you.
If you've injuried something, inflammation is bound to be present. Applying heat will only increase the inflammatory state.
Cold packs (not ice in a baggy) to the area is most approriate to control inflammation. Apply cold pack to the damaged area for 15 mins maybe 3-4 a day. Always put a towel between you and the cold pack to avoid frostbite.
Normally, I'd say get a massage, but in your case, a look by a doctor may be in order.

When it comes to any body pain issues you should always seek medical attention. This is especially important if the problem has lasted more than 3 days.
For some basic back pain information I will suggest a good site to check out.

This needs to be evaluated by your dr to see whether something like a pulled/strained muscle could be causing this.
