If you mean African hair, it grows in a spiral form because the hair follicle is elliptical rather than round. True round follicles produce absolutely straight hair, and the more elliptical they are the wavier your hair will be. African hair is simply at the extreme of being curly, and there's no other difference.

Here is the technical difference..

Straight/fine hair grows out of the hair shaft at about a 90 degree angle.

The more coarse/curly the hair gets, the more it grows out at an angle.

Also, the sebum (oil) that is released by the scalp , onto the hair as it grows out, is actually produced at a lower quanity because of the angle that the hair grows out. This is why curly hair and ethnic hair require more care.

No difference except the way it grows out of the hair shaft. It is not round and oval, therefore, it comes out extra spirally and curly. All hair is protein. Because of the way it grows, light does not get to it so it looks dull as oppose to hair that grows out of the shaft round and oval. More light gets to that hair and therefore you have more shine.

It has lots of body so you don't need hairspray but its dry so a creme or oil is used to promote shine and keep down the dryness.

God is definitely a God of variety!

The hairs are flat, that's why they curl.
And obviously, black, just like Asians and Indians.

black people's hair has a kinky curl at the root when it is not treated by a relaxer. the curl can be tight or loose depending on genetics. most black women treat there hair with relaxers to make it more manageable.
