You need to have your parents make an appointment for you with a reputable optamologist and get a complete and thorough examination and ask him all these questions that you may have. Most reputable eye laser doctors offer free consultation and examination. Don't find the cheapest doctor, that would be your first mistake. Also, do some research on the internet on the procedure you are interested in. Educate yourself don't go into anything blindly.

I can't completely answer your question, but can tell you that two different reputable eye surgeons told my kids that they should not have the surgery until they are 22-23 years old, because the eyes are still changing until then.

My husband had his done and says he's still not happy with his night vision, as he still sees halos around lights at night. It's not bad enough to keep him from driving, etc. but it is annoying. My nephew had it done 3 years ago at age 23 and hasn't had any problems.

I would recommend asking your eye dr as they can give you a better idea of whether or not Lasik (the laser surgery) surgery is the right choice for your eye problem. Not all eye problems can be corrected with laser surgery.

My mom had this done and it changed her life. The only downside of it is that you have to keep your eyes open for about 2 to 3 minutes without blinking but they do give you something to focus on that makes it alot easier to keep them open. Other rules apply such as you can't rub your eye for about 3 months so that the lens has a full time to heal, and also after you have it done you have to keep them shut for approximately 5 hours, but you can always just sleep. Other than those few things it has amazing results.

You can usually scheduel a free consultation with a lasik eye specialist, that way you can ask all your questions to a professional.

I heard though that it's effects are not permanent, sometimes a 10-15 yr. lifespan on it. That maybe old information though, I haven't had anyone I know lately have it done.

Ask a professional, or research it online. Try http://www.WebMD.com

that is not really a good idea because you might still have the possibility 4 ur eyes to get better and if you do it that early ur eyes might get bad again because your body is still growing at the age of 18

Why would you want tio do that to your self? What is wrong with your eyes? Do you really need to perform surgery or it's just a fashion thing? I say don't do it something might go wrong.
