This is a case of double effect. The purpose of the pills is not contraception, but treating a condition.

Family planning is JUST THAT..to the best of my knowledge...birth control is not a problem in the LDS Church..but as many know..the LDS and Catholic faiths are well known as family faiths...we have a lot of kids as a whole...but..it isn't everyone...
every family (husband and wife) decides what they feel comfortable with and plan accordingly..
I feel it depends on how much you make and how much you are willing to do fo your kids...are you stretched thin with 2 kids? DON'T have 3-5...it just is common sense..
Sex is NOT just for having babies..regardless of what you think..it is CRITICAL for the relationship between husband and wife and their bond together...how can you be ONE in just purpose...it isn't just supposed to be a metaphor...it should be taken literally as well..
Sex shouldn't be SELFISH...but SELFLESS...it should be the man taking care of his wife's needs and the wife taking care of her husbands needs and NOT being selfish in this respect...when this perspective is lost....then that is when resentment starts...
Even if I am a millionaire and can afford to have 20 kids...am I being considerate to my wife ..after all..she has to give birth to those 20 kids...there are plenty of things at work here...

They in all likelihood opt for to consistently have contributors born into their church. this isn't a modern ingredient. for hundreds of years that is been a stereotype that Catholics have had large households. yet surely, the Church hasn't ever executed a very solid pastime of explaining their causes. yet even with the reality that, they have not executed a superior pastime of explaining how the Church has potential over scripture both.

The Catholic church is officially against any type of artificial birth control. It has something to do with the fact that sex is for pro-creation, and if you are doing something to artificially prohibit the conception of another life, it goes against God.
But, not a whole lot of Catholics follow this teaching.

If the birth control prevents the sperm, and egg from meeting, and therefore preventing fertilization, then I've no issue with it.
If the birth control kills the already fertilized egg, then it has killed a living human baby, and I've got major issues with it.

I knew this really religious Christian couple who refused to use birth control. They would take her temperature and use that as a form of "birth control". They have 6 children.
I think they have the same mindset about that as they do on masturbation. It's "wasting seed". The world isn't overpopulated enough as it is.

Thinking that not using birth control encourages premarital sex is like saying that seat belts encourage dangerous driving.

I think if you asked your local neighborhood priest his opinion on this you'd get a different answer than if you wrote to the Vatican for Official Policy.
Officially, I think you cannot take anything that would interfere with God's Plan for you to have more DUES PAYING babies
