I have been with the same man for 5 yrs now. He has started to drink so much that it has made him incapable of performing in bed. He usually tries early in the morning, but I think he is still drunk from the day before and it usually turns out to be a flop. Then he wants to wait until after lunch and try again. I get tired of him and this problem and him hanging all over me and his impotence is creating a problem. He is 54 yrs old and tells everyone what a great sex life we have, but we really dont. He is a flop because of drink and more drink. What do I say to him? I am tired of this and I am 12 yrs younger. I hate to embarrass him or insult him, but this is ridiculous.

Honey, you either need to be totally honest with him or move on. I believe that honesty is the best policy no matter what, and then let the chips fall where they may. If he is a drunk, then he needs to have it brought to his attention that this is part of his problems and why he cannot perform in bed among other things. Just tell him straight up, believe me he knows already and is covering up by drinking more. He is an alcoholic and the sooner he faces his problems the better things will be for him. In the mean time you may have to move on to find your happiness, which by the way, you deserve!! Never forget that you deserve to be happy regardless of his problems!!!

I'd be more worried about his alcoholism. Give him a chance and support to kick the habit, but if not, do you really want to be with an alcoholic. Spend some time away to let him know ur serious, but worry about the sex after you two work on his more serious medical condition(yes, it's now considered a medical condition)

Break it off now...
Dead end relationship..
Do not invest more than 2 - 3 yrs. in a relationship without marriage....Never have kids out of wedlock..
Get a good Pre-Nup...
Do a good careful investigation of any man before marriage..
Credit check, Employment, House, Car, Divorce & Relationships, IRS , finances etc. etc.
Marriage is a huge investment, do your homework...

you're in a time frame of now or never kinda thing, why are you waiting, you're 42 now, and why are you hoping for things to be better, go create your own life, look at it as "now" you and I dont know whats gonna happen tomorrow, isnt it true? who gareentee you things are getting better, words are the worst to trust, acting talk, so if i were you, move on, go walk your own life, and have fun with it, take care. good luck!

You knew there would be problems in that department when you first met him. He is older! You are younger. There is no secret. He is 54. What do you expect? Do you love him? Well work it out!

You need to tell him his drinking is a problem, and if he doesn't get help you can't stay with him any longer. You are to young to have to deal with this for the rest of your life.

Tell him he needs professional help for his addiction and this will be his last chance, if he does it then you have the man you love back. If not leave him.... It shouldn't be all about sex though.
