I have purchased some squash slices, prebreaded and frozen, and the bag just says cook on medium, turning often.

My question is, what would be a good (pan fry with oil) temperature to start these at, I have heard on cooking shows if the oil is too cool the food will absorb the oil, and if the oil is hot enough it will fry them without absorbing a lot of oil.

Any thoughts (other than cook on med) would be appreciated.

You want them to sizzle (or bubble about the edges) just a bit when you first put them in. If it does not - then the oil is not hot enough.
