Gah! Go for new Honda Civic Si!
It's FUN! Actually tons of fun!
If everyone owns Toyota...go for Honda!
Honda Civic Si has 2.0 liter engine w/ 197 hp.
Doesn't it sound like a big fun?
Of course it's a high rev engine. And its redline is at 8000rpm.
Ohhoohohoho~ The V-Tec goes off at 5800rpm and that's when the fun starts.
Now they have both Coupe and Sedan Civic Si. So choose!
And if you know how to drive a manual trans...that's awesome! Because they only come in manuals.
I don't recommend Mazda 3. Do you see them a lot on the streets? Cuz I don't. And I live in LA.
And if it isn't that many on the road...there is a reason!
Go for the New Civic Si. It should run for around 24grand.
And Civic has 30 local 40 hwy mpg. = )
You can't beat that!

I'd stay away from the Mazda3. Sure it's cheap but is it worth buying? The interior is nice to look at but it's cheap and the one I drove at the dealership had lots of creaks, rattles and moans. If you're looking for a good hatch, I recommend the VW Rabbit or if you got the change, the VW GTI.

Better interior quality and better overall package.

Neither mazda nor ford (mazda actually IS ford) have anything to do with reliability. Someone suggested a chevy - they must be running a towing company...
Go with Honda car or Toyota truck/SUV.
