which version? the Original version, or the one that was changed in the 1950s when they put 'under god' in it to distance our country from the USSR?

The pledge, as it was originally written, is:

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.
And to the Republic, for which it stands.
One Nation, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.

I dont are living in US so do not know what this pledge of allegiance is. however yeah, even the NZ countrywide anthem has "god" in it. I would see being reasonably angry if youre pressured to mention it. however no longer adequate to truthfully sue. however everybody sues the whole thing in the us.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God (added in 1954), indivisible, with liberty and justice for all
(Except Gay people who can go pound sand)

As a gay man, I can assure you we do NOT get equal liberty or justice - if we did, we could adopt kids, have marriages, etc. So thumbs down me all you want - you all know its true!

I think it's funny that most (not all) of those who included "under God" got it wrong.

It's not "One nation under God, indivisible"

It's "One nation, under God, indivisible"

Which is complete grammatical nonsense and one of the best arguments for removing it--because it was so obviously crowbarred into the pledge with no respect for the original at all.

Of the United States of America,
and to the Republic
for which it stands
one nation
under God
Indivisible--
With LIBERTY and JUSTICE FOR ALL!
