take a separation period...that will give you time to get over it and both of you to sort out your feelings and whats on your mind...believe it or not love can end in friendship if you both work at it...but don't expect it to be quick or the same as it once was because a relationship does change a friendship at least a little bit...it can make you closer or farther apart depends on the people.

I totally think you should wait to do anything but till then u should stay friends. Its probably just a phase you guys have to pass, So stay friends, but if u still dont feel comfortable talk to him.
Yeah, u2 could be soulmates, but having more experience with good guys could be a good thing. If he stopped having feelings, it's never gonna work out with the 2 of you. The hurt will go away. Yeah, it'll take some time for the feelings to go away, but they will eventually. You shouldn't break all ties. That'd just ruin even your friendship with him. The friendship will come back soon enough, even if it takes some months. You shouldn't ignore the situation. Talk it out with him and be friendly.

I'm sorry to say this but if you're in love with him and he doesn't feel the same way, being friends is only going to hurt you more. He'll either start talking about the next girl that comes along and break your heart again or he'll think it's ok to sleep with you and take advantage of you. You'll end up thinking you'll get back together, but he'll be thinking friends with benefits. If you really want to be friends, leave it a couple of months, no contact, give yourself sometime to move on and then try and go for a coffee.

It will go away eventually, but you have to give it time. Don't just cut off all ties if you want to remain friends, because that won't help anything.
It's not an easy thing to feel rejected or just not "loved" anymore, but there is someone out there for everyone, so don't give up and look forward to who is the one for you.

You need time to heal. It's too soon...
I'm going through that right now...I just broke up with my boyfriend of 6 months and I still care very much for him, but being around him is too painful. I just don't go near him and I try not to call him. He's called me but, I'll call him another time or whenever...
He thinks I'm cheating on him and moving on but realistically I need to worry about me first.
Just be honest with him and let him know how you feel! If he does still want you as a friend he will understand.

Just do your best to realize that he's not the one and be glad it ended now instead of gotten more and more intence as the months passed and then ended. Try to think of his as a friend and nothing more until it sticks and also try to not show how upset you are when you're around him. What might help is writing everything down in a journal or notebook. It helps you get your feelings out so that they're not so intence on the inside. Try to be strong.

Being friends is always a great concept, but the fact is that it doesn't work this soon after a relationship has ended. If you are in love with him, you need time to accept this change and move on. Maybe in time ... you can speak to him as a friend without having those feelings coming back.

this is hard. i know. but i think for awhile you should give yourself time to get over it. really. because the longer you stay close with him the longer your gonna hurt. so then eventually your gonna get over it. then it wont hurt as much.
