How do you protect yourself spiritually?

Someone has been using black majick on me.

1.)Learn the lesson that you are only subject to what you hold in mind. (Believe it is yours and you will have it)

2.)Start doing A Course in Miracles...it's fantastic.

Personally, I use a foolproof spiritual shield called RATIONALISM. It's 100% mumbo-jumbo proof. Voo-doo fiends can abuse chickens and goat's blood to their heart's content in my presence and I am completely unaffected, other then a minor concern for sanitary issues.

Perceive the world. Understand. Act accordingly. Your rational mind knows that "black majick" doesn't work. It's crap. You can freely and happily ignore it with no bad consequences. If anything, the sheer negativity behind it will damage the person trying to hurt you.

Look out for people with guns, though. They really are dangerous. Remember: 9MM automatics are more dangerous then black majick. Sometimes black majick users buy them when they finally realize that tossing chicken bones around is a waste of time.

If you can't drum up a rational frame of mind, and need a "crutch" to make you feel spiritually protected, just use any symbol that you can believe in. White light is good. If you're a christian, you might have to resort to one or more of the goofy protection schemes people are listing here: Getting baptised, all that junk.

A full realization that the world is a rational place, and that majick possesses no cause and effect relationship is always a much more powerful protection, though.

Get your relationship with God working well ... abide in the Word, follow the Holy Spirit's promptings.

You can also do some spiritual warfare prayers, I'm not an expert, but this is a simple procedure:

Speak these aloud as they have to be spoken to be enacted. The authority is actually in your spoken words. If you actually quote supporting scriptures from the Word its much more powerful.

This assumes you are a christian, i.e. you have believed Jesus is Son of God, died for your sins and rose from the dead, and have confessed that publically.

First, confess any sins you are aware of in your life and receive forgiveness from Jesus by faith. Ask for help of the Holy Spirit to put right the issues confessed.

"I declare all black magic, curses, sorcery and witchcraft by {X} aginst me revoked in the name of Jesus. I declare any demonic assignments against me cancelled in the name of Jesus. No weapon raised against me will prevail. I am protected by the blood of Jesus. Jesus has forgiven my sins, the Evil One touches me not. All black magic, curses, sorcery and witchcraft against me by {X} have no effect.
I surrender all right of revenge on {X} to Jesus, trusting that punishment is His to execute on {X} should He see fit. "

I assert my own energy in meditation. For symbols, I use totem animals. My house Guardian is the wolf who has been my primary totem since I came of age. My personal guardian whose energy I summon in defense of self or children is the dragon.

If I thought someone was using black magik on me, I'd use another one - the phoenix totem, who balances the dragon. It rises above, rather than attacks. Its fire can cleanse any energy. It is very simply untouchable.

Music and/or long walks are excellent meditation aids when I need to focus on something like that.

I maintain a good relationship with my patron Gods and count on Them to shield me if anything hurtful is directed at me. I also try to keep the wards around my apartment spruced up.

Stay away from corrupt people. Everyone has an innate sense of what is right; some choose to ignore it; stay away from those who ignore it.
