We plan to add a full bath in our basement and there's no existing plumbing (except for the plumbing to the washing machine). My father-in-law is in construction and he guessed it would cost us around $10,000. Keep in mind that you will need a sump pump to carry the toilet water up from the basement (if you don't already have one) and they are pretty expensive. So, given that you already have the rest of the plumbing and are not installing a tub or shower, I'd guess around $5,000. You can always get estimates from contractors - it does not obligate you in any way to hire them or to do the work at all, but it is a good way to get an idea of what the job will cost.

It depends on what ind of fixtures you are going to use, what kind of floor tile? Are you going to tile part of the wall or paint the whole thing.

We put half bath in our year old home, plumbing already there and it cost between $800-1000.
