Ouch!!

Pinch the skin around the splinter and use tweezers to pull it out. Then use neosporen on the cut.

If it is to far embedded, you might need to seek help from a doctor.

have him soak it in warm sudsy water for little while, give him a bath or something. then take tweezer n a pin. if u have any topical pain reliever u can apply that b4 if it hurts a lot. have him watch a favorite cartoon while u do the next step. sterilize the pin n the tweezer. scratch along the length of the splinter if u can. it will scratch his skin open a little. that will let u get a better grip on the splinter. make sure to use the pointiest part to really get a good grip. if it wont coe out, put some neosporin on it n keep an eye on it. if it swells, turns red or becomes warm then take him to the doctor. chances r though, it will work itself out. keep it clean n bandaged

First try tape or elmers glue. Put it over the splinter and pull tape up (or peel off glue when dry). If that doesn't work, try tweezers. Try not to irritate the area around the splinter any more then necessary, but push the splinter out with the flat edge of the tweezers. Once it is emerged enough, you can grab it and pull it out the rest of the way.

other than tweezers... put his hand in hot water, that will help push out the splinter a little bit. also you can put some elmer's glue on it, and when it dries, pull off the whole thing. But if you do know that is is embeded take him to the doctor, make sure they get it all out the first time- I've known in a situation where they didn't get it all out at the ER and it became infected.

Tweezers are probably going to be your best bet. Make sure the skin of the hand is pulled tight so it's easier to get to. You might want to try and nudge the part that's embedded in the palm towards the opening. That way you can grab it with the tweezers.

Use ELmers white glue, not stick, liquid. Squirt some on the area where the splinter is, let it completely dry & peel off. Peel it off from the opposite direction it went in the skin. THis usually works and is painless.

There is several ways to get a sliver out that is painless. I see that a lot of people already said use Elmer's glue, That is a good one, but I would try vegy oil on it and a pair of tweezers. the sliver will slip right out. Good luck.
