My heart is set on joing the USCG. But I am just curious about the Marines. Anyone with experiences in both branches. To see what the daily life is about. Thanks.

Well I am majoring in law enforcement. An I was going to choose the NAVY. Seemed like a safe job in the military, and learned about law enforcement. An then for some reason I checked out the USCG. They have law enfocement, and much more. I mean you will be at harm but you will be making a difference. From protecting the envionment to inspecting a ship to keeping drugs off the street, and working with a team. But then the Marines seem to focus on leadership, and courage. Seemd interesting. But my heart is really going into the USCG.

So, why not the Navy? It's the step in between the two. Just curious.

I've no experience with either; however, it is my understanding that you will be less likely to be shot and killed if you are in the coast guard...
