Isnt this will the root of human behavior and culture as well as the will of God(s)? Is this will evil in a sense?

The belief systems, themselves, may or may not be "valid", but, ordinarily have no will to dominate and control. It's the corrupt and usually sociopathic leadership associated with the systems who have such will.

Hierarchies, generally, especially where the opportunity to gather wealth and "power" are present, seem to attract the ruthless, crude, selfish, and homocidal, to its ranks.

This is nothing new and persists today. The consciousness level of humans, generally, and among the greed and power mongers, especially, is an embarrassment. Hopefully, everyone DOES receive, finally what s/he deserves, based on conduct and behavior.

One entertaining site that addresses the realities of "those at the top" is http://www.vaticanassassins.org/ Most of it seems very credible to me :))

Beliefs (I'll assume you mean religion) don't necessarily have a sinister will to dominate, but political leaders figured out long ago if they can justify their actions through religion, society is far more willing to accept their actions. The action is universal- name the culture and it has been done there. Of course, the converse is true as well- if you want to go to war, paint the other side as heretics. And so we march to the sound of bad music and bad reason, wondering what happened that we could go through with killing each other off and only find peace in the graveyard.

You need to read up more. Not all beliefs have any desire to dominate and control. In fact, only a few do. Oddly, they usually have the most followers.

Not *all* beliefs do this. However many mainstream ones do, that's how they keep their churches (and their bank accounts) fuill.

My Gods, for example are happy to let me be me, mistakes and all.
