First off, not wanting a relationship means he does'nt want you as a regular girlfriend. Hes probably happy with your body and might like touching it or hes happy with what you might do to him. He does'nt want you to get hurt is a clish'e line we all say, when were happy with sex but dont see you as a full time partner. Sorry to be thruthfull, but you did ask for definite meanings. You will probably find hes not actually single but has a full time girlfriend and your just the other girl. Get out before you actually do get hurt...Pop C

It means that he really cares for you. So much that he doesn't want to deal with problems if you guys would get together and break up. He might of just got out of a serious relationship and doesn't feel like getting in another one too.

Hmmm - I think, that he's compassionate first of all and really cares about other people's feelings. Maybe he doesn't see you that way, or maybe he just honestly isn't ready for a relationship and is freaked out by the whole deal. usually this means that he may have been in a recent relationship than eneded badly and he's not ready for anything but rebound hook-ups which are not exactly fun. this also means that he does genuinly carre about you and may want something with you but knows that if it happens now you may end up geting hurt because of his past expirience and he doesn't want this for you

Just that...that he isn't ready for a relationship, which is very mature of him instead of leading someone on, and cheating. If he isn't ready to be commited , why should he be with anyone.
