Being an aussie in the usa, can anyone tell me of the problems of family sending over some aussie foods, such as vegemite, etc? This would be from Perth, WA to Tennessee,USA

I have carried Vegemite through US airports many times. I always declare it, and they always say that they don't know how people eat that stuff, but they let it in. Generally there are no problems taking processed packaged food in, like Tim Tams. Raw food, and fruit, are always a problem, and I would not even try. The rules should be the same for posting.

You should always declare food, and then there should be no problems.

you can buy vegemite in a tube which helps - this way you can send it Australia Post without worrying about glass getting broken.

tim tams (which i'm sure being an aussie you certainly miss) i'm not sure how you can get your hands on them... but i think there are some websites which will deliver to the US (might cost a bit though) i can't remember them off the top of my head though i do know they exist
