Can't feel on Brown Spots on Elbow?

I have these brown depressions on my arm. They are distinctly noticeable, and are depressions into my skin (kind of like holes, but not really). When I poke the general area with a toothpick, I don't feel anything, when I poke any other area on my arm not part ofmthe brown spots, I feel something. What are these?

When in doubt about strange brown spots, see a doctor. With all the skin cancer stories going around, you can never be too safe. I'm not saying it is cancer, but you should definitely talk to a doctor about it.
